Privacy policy

This policy explains how Planet5 Software ("we", "us"), the company behind ShopPos, handles personal information collected through this website, shoppos.in. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. It covers the website and its contact form. Information a shop enters inside the ShopPos application is handled under our arrangement with that shop for the service.
What we collect
- Through the contact form: your name, mobile number, business name, city, number of outlets, type of business, an optional message, and the time you gave your consent. We also record the page you were on and, if you arrived from a campaign, its source, medium and name.
- Automatically, by our servers: standard technical logs such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics, only if you accept: if you accept analytics on the banner, we load Google Analytics to count visits and which pages and buttons are used. If you decline or do not answer, no analytics code is loaded.
Why we use it
We use the contact-form details to call, message or e-mail you about ShopPos, as you asked, and to keep a record of enquiries. We use logs to keep the website secure and working. We use analytics, if you accept it, to improve the website. We do not use your details for anything else and we do not sell them.
Our basis: your consent
We process contact-form details because you consented by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your choices" below). Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers that help us run the website and reply to you: our hosting provider, our e-mail provider, and Google (reCAPTCHA, which protects the form from abuse, and Analytics if you accept it). They process the information on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details until you ask us to delete them, or for up to 24 months after our last contact with you if you do not become a customer, whichever is earlier. Server logs are kept for a short period for security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you, and you can withdraw your consent. To do any of these, e-mail support@shoppos.in or call or WhatsApp +91 97893 34028. We aim to reply within 7 days. This is also the contact for any complaint about how we handle your information.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS and contact-form submissions are protected against abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This website is for business owners and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
