Frequently asked questions
Can I use a barcode scanner with ShopPos?
The billing box takes a barcode scan or a typed item name. Most USB and Bluetooth scanners behave like a keyboard and work with it. Tell us the model on WhatsApp and we will confirm before you commit.
What can I print from the billing counter?
Receipts and invoices print in A4 or 80 mm thermal format. Barcode labels print on a label printer or on A4 label sheets, using ready-made templates or ones you design yourself.
Which payment types can I record?
Cash, UPI, card, bank transfer, cheque and store credit, and a single bill can be paid with a mix of them.
What happens if the internet drops while I am billing?
ShopPos runs online, so the counter needs a connection. If it drops at the moment you confirm a sale, retrying will not create a duplicate bill or reduce the stock twice. Offline billing is not available yet.
Do I have to install anything?
No. ShopPos runs in the browser on a PC or laptop at the counter. Start the free trial, add your items and you can bill the same day.
